So, last March (2025) I put out a post looking forward to the year ahead then never posted again!

For anyone wondering, the best laid plans sadly went down the drain when I became seriously ill at the end of May 2025. So, here I am in 2026 doing exactly the same thing again! But, hang on a minute I hear you say, what happened? In simple terms I contracted viral hepatitis which put me in hospital in June 2025. It took from then until December 2025 for me to be well enough to return to work all be it on much reduced hours. I lost all strength in my hands and arms and I will be doing physiotherapy for all of 2026. Hence 2025 was very quiet!
Hopefully this year will be a bit kinder to me and I will be getting on with the good stuff!
Aside of the ongoing recovery the plan is to get out and shoot as much as I am able. This will hopefully include the Midland Air Festival as well as much more motorsport action. I’d also like to shoot more railway related material both preserved and main line.
The big one for 2026 is to go full send with YouTube. Please click to go to my YouTube channel This is definitely going to be one hell of a challenge and I’m not exactly sure as yet what the content will be or how often it gets published. The options for me are; photography, motorsport, garden rescue (you should see the state of mine!) And car restoration. This basically describes a journey with me through my life so if this sounds interesting please come along and if you like it please like and subscribe. It would be great to have you aboard.
In my post last year I mentioned my Bronica. For obvious reasons I haven’t done much with it yet, I have run a few rolls through it and it’s looking good so far. Also, at the back end of last year I bought myself a second hand Minox 35mm camera boxed kit. It’s a lovely little thing and I am currently in the process of running the first film through it. Watch out for more to come on both cameras.
That about covers things for now. Hopefully this year will be more about photography and less about hospitals! Time will tell.
